Augusto Bartolome


Co-founder & CEO


Augusto Bartolome, CEO and co-founder of Electrogenos, is a leading electrochemist with six years of industry experience. He earned a 1st degree honours in materials science from the University of Manchester, specializing in graphene and nanotechnology. Augusto has received prestigious awards, including a Research Fellowship from The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 and is pursuing a PhD at UCL’s Electrochemical Innovation Lab, focusing on hydrogen production electrocatalysts. As a research chemist, he holds two patents and leads Electrogenos in pioneering transformative energy technologies for a sustainable future.


Alfredo Saenger


Co-founder & COO


Alfredo Saenger is the COO and co-founder of Electrogenos, and a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in finance, consulting, and a strong passion for sustainable development. With an MSc in Finance from ESADE, Alfredo has gained valuable expertise in the financial industry. He has served as a consultant at BCG, advising governments and companies on energy-related topics, including investments and sustainability roadmaps. Leveraging his extensive network and fundraising expertise, Alfredo has been instrumental in securing substantial capital for the company in a remarkably short period, furthering its mission to drive sustainable solutions in the energy sector.


Claudio Picchi


CTO


Claudio Picchi, CTO at Electrogenos, is a highly skilled electrochemist with over a decade of experience, specializing in electroplating chemistry. Holding an MSc in Organic Chemistry from The University of Pisa, Italy, Claudio’s expertise spans research, scalability, and manufacturing within the electroplating industry. His innovative R&D approach encompasses analytical methods, electrochemical characterization, and pioneering electroplating formulations, including a patented low-cost stainless steel coating process developed during his tenure as principal scientist at OnS (Oxford Nanosystems).


Laure Mora


Head of Partnerships & Growth


Laure Mora is an experienced energy industry professional, with 20+ years spent in different roles spanning from engineering to sales. She started her career in the USA as an oilfield engineer with Schlumberger and pursued that career for many years in the US, Middle-East and Europe. She then joined Shell drilling engineering team in Aberdeen and worked on North Sea installations before deciding to reorient her career towards the clean energy industry. She successfully transitioned her career to the Renewable Energy Industry by first working in geothermal roles in Sweden and then more broadly by providing support to clean energy start-ups in a publicly funded energy transition initiative in Aberdeen, Scotland where she is still based today. She uses her skills in engineering, sales and communication as well as her customer-centric mindset to relentlessly push the clean energy transition forward.


Lawrence Flinn


Principal Engineer


Lawrence Flinn is the Principal Engineer in Electrogenos’ R&D team, having come from designing megawatt-scale solid oxide fuel cell and electrolyser systems at Ceres Power. He holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from UCL, backed up by extensive experience working in companies both small and large in automotive, marine, industrial machinery, and new energy sectors, including all stages of design from initial concepts through to high volume manufacture. Having consulted for companies in diverse industries across the world, Lawrence aims to help Electrogenos grow from an exciting green tech start up to a mature international engineering firm with reliable, scalable products that can really accelerate the climate transition.


Jack Mullett


Systems Engineer


Jack Mullett is the System Engineer at Electrogenos. He has spent the majority of his career in academia, from Research Associate to Senior Lecturer, and has considerable experience developing engineering systems with hands-on practical expertise in prototyping and testing of equipment and experiments. Jack has a MEng degree in Mechanical Systems and Design Engineering, MSc in Engineering Application of Lasers, and PhD with the thesis titled “Laser-Induced Ignition Systems for Gasoline Automotive Engines”. He is passionate about contributing his engineering skills to advance technology that helps respond to the climate and biodiversity emergency affecting our world.


Divya Madhuri


ElectroChemist


Divya Madhuri is a seasoned electrochemist boasting over a decade of invaluable research experience, with a particular expertise in materials chemistry and electrocatalysis. She has earned distinction as a recipient of the esteemed Marie-Curie Individual Fellowship for her outstanding postdoctoral work conducted at the University of Birmingham, following her successful completion of a PhD at the University of Hyderabad. Her pioneering research revolves around the innovation and synthesis of cutting-edge materials and design concepts aimed at propelling sustainable energy solutions, ultimately contributing to the ambitious global endeavor of achieving net-zero emissions.
